Using Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 to Access GPA Express System

 

 

As a workaround to use Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 to access the GPA Express system follow these steps:

 

  1. Java JRE releases 1.5 through 1.6.0_07 have been tested for this scenario.  Higher releases may not resolve this issue.

 

  1. A copy of jvm.dll from Java JRE 1.6.0_07 is available for download from the Terminalops3.gaports.com webpage.  If you choose to download this file instead of installing a Java release, skip to step #5 after the download.

 

  1. Select a single version of Java JRE 1.5 up through Java JRE 1.6.0_07 and install it on the client pc.

 

  1. Copy \program files\java\jre1.X.X_X\bin\client\jvm.dll. 

 

  1. Replace \program files\oracle\jinitiator 1.3.1.22\bin\hotspot\jvm.dll with the copied or downloaded file.

 

  1. Internet Explorer 8 should now access the system successfully.
